About the Project

The Cambodia national information superhighway ─ fiber optic communication network construction project is a national key project which has been officially approved by the authorization of the Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen. The project is aimed to install fiber optic cables by direct-burying in rural area and by underground duct system in urban streets. The whole network, with total length of approximately 9, 000km, is planned to be completed in 8 years.

According to the Investment Agreement signed with Cambodia Development Council (CDC), Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPTC), Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and Ministry of Commerce (MoC), CFOCN acquires 5-year exclusive right of constructing the nationwide fiber optic cable network in Cambodia, and meanwhile the company is granted the license of operating in the communication infrastructure field with the valid period of 35 years.

CFOCN has been awarded by the Cambodian Government as the “First-Level Construction & Engineering Company”.
